Bio
Runa got the reputation of being a trailblazer in her native
country Iceland during her twenty-year
career in the cosmetic and perfume
industry. As the founder and CEO of the distributing company Klassik efh. and
co-founder of the retail store Sigurboginn she practiced many of the conscious
leader principles in focus today while representing numerous well-known global
brands on both the local and the duty free market. She built her businesses by
cultivating relationships with her employees, her vendors, international
suppliers, and the retail consumers. She introduced the industry to many
innovative services and practices that have since then been adapted as the
norm.
In 1996 Runa relocated to the USA after selling her companies.
She spent the next decade immersing herself in mentorship and training in
various disciplines such as wisdom traditions, energy cultivating practices and
direct teachings from Nature.
In 2005 she founded the leadership and
development company Runora LLC with the primary focus on awakening a deeper
connection in people in business and raising the consciousness through
conscious leadership.
After relocating to Los Angeles Runa co-founded the Conscious Leader Network with
Mark Lefko in 2011, a global networking community venture answering the need for cultivating new and more conscious ways of doing business. She draws on her diverse training as
well as her business acumen when mentoring leaders and designing,
producing and facilitating events, programs and retreats.
Runa has spoken at
conferences such as The International Conference on Business and Consciousness,
Women’s International Networking and the Conscious Capitalism Institute. Runa heads the LA branch and sits on the advisory board of Keys2Balance®, a program for leaders,
groups and organizations offering tools for conscious leadership, effective communication, and interpersonal skills. Keys2Balance® is headquartered in Helsinki, Finland.
